Pastor Imprisoned for Sermon (in Europe)

Pastor Imprisoned for Offending Homosexuals

The president of the Swedish Federation for LGBT rights, said that religious freedom could never be used as a reason to offend people.

Sorry, I think I'm going to have to side with the religious rights on this one. The people who heard the anti-gay comments were voluntarily attending a meeting hosted by a religon well-known to have certain docterines against homosexual behavior.

No group has a right to be protected from being offended. This is a right that can never be enforced, because no one can objectively prove offense was actually taken. No one can predict what words will offend people. And what about the rights of Christians to not be offended by anti-Christian speech?

This right will inevitably be in conflict with the right of Freedom of Speech. Which is most important? I choose speech, even if I don't happen to agree with it.
